Was a member of TVC when I had an ectopic pregnancy, I was 6 weeks pregnant and the pastor I prayed with said my life came first and this was an emergency and that I needed to get whatever procedure I needed. This was ‘12, I believe. It wound up bursting and that was a mess of its own magnitude, that’s neither here or there. All that to say, that they are a church that understands there are circumstances where it’s needed. But, the majority of those cases are women using abortion as birth control.

Amen amen amen! I love this guy. Straight up truth that goes against all of the conventional institutional mindsets that are not biblical, but simply cultural. The entire concept of Youth Ministry is not biblical at all. Jesus never segregated based on age groups. He didn't give serious messages to the adults, while placating the kids with fun and games and snacks and music. You wanna know why so many Youthgroup kids leave the church as adults? Because they spent their whole childhoods being spoiled by Sunday Church times being all about their own personal fun and enjoyment. Video games, church camps, tons of pizza, and for the older kids, rock concert "worship" and lots of flirting with the opposite sex. Then suddenly, they graduate to adult church, where its no longer all about them, nor is it fun.

From the death of Jesus to 2030 - 2033 there are 2000 years. Jesus is coming soon. Let's all repent and turn from our old ways and turn to the Lord. Praise the Lord. Peace and Love to you all A verse to show about the Holy Trinity Isaiah 9:6 For to us a child is born, to us a son is given, and the government will be on his shoulders. oh my goodness! What an amazingly encouraging sermon! I wonder what Pastor and theologian Sinclair Ferguson has experienced personally....whether physical suffering, disappointments, personal sorrows...because there's something about how he preaches about our Lord Jesus, His life, death and resurrection for us AND the power of the comforting Holy Spirit,...that brings a LIFE-giving certainty and comfort to us struggling christians, even though we KNOW we are His elect...chosen before the foundation of the world! He has some good points, for sure, but building a dogmatic system of church structure and saying it’s the only biblical model seems pharisaical and even cultish. The truth is, God didn’t give us specific instructions in a lot of these areas, therefore following the Spirit, we must stand fast in the liberty where with Christ has made us free. There is no magic system to ensuring young people follow God. Parents must be faithful in parenting, churches must be faithful in teaching Gods Word. However, there WiLL be a falling away in the last days.

Two roads diverged into the woods and I took the road less traveled..the road called " suffering for his name's sake." It intersects with thebroad called " pain & suffering". The other road , well trod these days by so many Christians is called the road of Comfortable Christianity." No sacrifice, no pain AND no gain for the Kingdom of Christ.

He doesn't pray for me. I thought I was saved for 30 years but I never was. Now I pray to God to save me from sin and hell, but no answer! I know God is the only way, I want to love Him with all my heart and be loved and be forgiven, learn to know Him, serve Him, live in the Light, be convicted of sin, but the only thing i feel is distance/a void and spiritual emptiness! He doesn't want to save me as it seems!?!?

Yeah, not to quibble too much, but whatever reasonable measures I need to take to get my mother to stop calling me at odd hours of the night and 1. explaining in Vivid detail how she wants to dismember my dad, disembowel my dad, and otherwise violate my dad's person, or blowing up my phone 95 times in one day {which I believe is enough to get a no contact order from the authorities}, I'm just going to go ahead and block her number for a while.
